The Undercover Critic (Harry Potter)

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

I do not understand the Harry Potter phenomenon.
Grown adults waiting for over three hours in line wearing
capes, plastic glasses and witch hats to watch a movie about
british adolescents flying around casting spells.
Our hole in the wall theater only has four theaters. We showed
this midnight movie in all four.
One was full of adults. Seniors. Parents without their kids.
Another theater was packed with annoying teenagers screaming
at the screen.
But the theater that freaked us out the most was the one full of
college students. Some decked out in full costume. Ready to sit
for two and a half hours and watch a movie.
Who dresses up in full costume to sit?
Apparently enough people to break some sort of midnight show
record.
Over 22 million dollars were made during the midnight
showings of Harry Potter.
That's a shit load of scarfs, glasses and wands.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and stick to one trash bin.
So many people can't be wrong, can they?
